BA LLB is an abbreviation for Bachelor of Arts – Bachelor of Legislative Law. It is a 5-year full-time integrated law programme. Candidates may pursue this course after passing the 12th class. Candidates who want to pursue a career in law can enrol in this course after completing their 10+2 in 2023.
Students in the BA LLB programme study both arts and law subjects together over the course of five years, including subjects like History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, and law subjects such as Civil Law, Labour Law, Tax Law, Administrative Law, Corporate Law, Patent Law, Criminal Law, and so on.
Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria for pursuing a BA LLB course in 2023.
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board of school education.
- Candidates must have obtained 45% marks in the qualifying examination and 40% for reserved category students.
- There is no age limit for the BA LLB programme.

AILET is a national-level entrance examination that is conducted every year by NLU, Delhi. The exam is conducted for admission to the 5 year B.A LLB (HONS.), LL.M and PhD programs in the NLU, Delhi.
CLAT is conducted on a rotational basis by 22 National Law Universities (NLU’s) of India. Through CLAT, candidates get admission into UG & PG degree law programs of 22 National Law Universities (NLU’s) of India.
These two entrance examinations are widely accepted for admission to UG & PG law programs, some universities also conduct university-level entrance exams for admission to their UG law programs. Admission in some universities is also based on class 12th marks & interviews
