Popular Punjabi Singer Balwinder Safri passed away at the age of 63 on Tuesday. Balwinder Safri was one of the biggest names of Bhangra Industry and he formed the popular Safri Boy Band in the year 1990.
Balwinder Safri had a very special place in the heart of Punjabi music lovers, Safri was known for his Punjabi folk songs like ‘Veh Paon Bhangra’, ‘Chan Mere Makhna’, ‘Yaar Langde.
Balwinder Safri underwent triple bypass surgeries
Balwinder Safri was admitted to the New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton, UK in April 2022 because of heart issues. And he underwent triple bypass surgeries, after which the singer went into a coma after facing brain damage.
After spending 86 days in hospital, Safri was discharged from the hospital and was on the road of recovery but he could not survive and lost the battle of life on july 26.
Celebrities mourned on the death of Balwinder Safri
After knowing about the unfortunate news many Punjabi celebrities paid their condolences to the star through social media. Diljit Dosanjh shared a picture of Safri and captioned it ‘Waheguru’ in the caption with folded hands emoji.

Mika Singh also paid his tribute to Balwinder Safri on social media and he captioned it “The legendary Singer #Balwindersafri has sadly left us with his beautiful memories.. I’ve grown up listening to his music and his legacy will live on and be remembered forever. May God bless his soul, rest in eternal peace.. Waheguru.”
