The RBI Assistant 2024 Selection Process comprises three stages, i.e., prelims, mains, and LPT. The prelims exam is qualifying in nature, while the final selection is based on the score of the mains exam.

The RBI Assistant prelims exam is the first stage of the selection process to shortlist candidates for the next stage. The prelims exam is qualifying in nature. Marks obtained in the prelims exam are not considered for the final merit.
As per the RBI Assistant Exam pattern 2024, there are 3 sections in the prelims exam. The exam duration is 60 minutes. The total number of questions being asked in the examination is 100, each worth one mark, with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

RBI Assistant 2024 Selection Process: Mains Exam
The candidates who qualify for the RBI Assistant prelims exam will be eligible to appear for the RBI Assistant 2024 mains exam. The marks obtained in the main examination will be considered for their final merit.
The RBI Assistant Exam Pattern for Mains includes five sections with a total of 200 questions, each worth one mark. There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The time allotted for the examination is 135 minutes.

RBI Assistant 2024 Selection Process: Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
The candidates who qualify for the RBI Assistant 2024 main examination will undergo the Language Proficiency Test (LPT).
The LPT exam is conducted to check the candidates’ proficiency in the local or official language of the state or UT in which they have applied. The final appointment of candidates will be made if they qualify for the language proficiency test.
Candidates not proficient in the official local language will be disqualified. The office-wise local language is/are as follows:
